How long will the repair take?
Repairs normally take between one to two days, unless parts need to be ordered. If a part needs to be ordered, the repair may take three to five days, depending on how quickly we can obtain the necessary part. We will always keep you informed about your laptop's progress, and you can always use our 'Live Help' button, or 'Contact Us' page, to check.
What should I send with my laptop?
Please include your power adaptor. We may also ask for your Windows password, and/or your Windows installation discs, if your problem is virus/malware or software related.
Is my data safe?
Usually your data will be safe, but hard drives can fail at any time, so please back up all your important data before sending your laptop to us. We cannot be held liable for lost data.
What kind of laptops do you repair?
We repair all makes and models of laptops and notebooks. This includes Acer, Dell, HP Compaq, Sony, Toshiba and IBM models.
How do I pay for the repair?
Once the repair has been completed, we will send you an e-mail with a link to your online invoice. You can pay online either by credit/debit card, or using your PayPal account. We cannot accept any other method of payment.
How long is the repair guaranteed for?
Repairs come with a 12 month return to base warranty. Only the exact symptom and problem originally repaired by us will be covered under warranty. We will pay for the collection and delivery of your laptop.
How long will it take for you to give me a quote, after receiving my laptop?
We will send you a quote for the repair work within 48 hours of receiving your laptop. You can then decide whether to go ahead with the repair or not. If you decide you don't want us to go ahead with the repair, we will return your laptop to you by courier, at no cost.
How much does it cost to get an estimate?
Nothing. We don't believe you, the customer, should have to pay for us to diagnose the problem and give you a quote. We are confident that you will use our services, and will find our quote competitive!
How quickly will I get my laptop back, if I decide not to have it repaired by you?
Your laptop will be returned within 48 hours by our insured courier, at no cost.
Please be aware that some other repair companies charge up to £40 + VAT just to return your unrepaired laptop to you, if you decide not to have it repaired by them, and can take up to 14 days to return it! We will send your laptop back within 48 hours.
What happens if I don't pay for the repair after having accepted your quote?
Normally this situation doesn't arise, but in the rare cases where it does, we reserve the right to hold your laptop until payment is received, and if payment is not received, to eventually sell your laptop to reimburse our costs.
When we quote you, the price you are quoted is a maximum price - if the job takes longer than we estimated, or the part is more expensive, we will honour our original quote - you, the customer, shouldn't have to pay for our mistakes in estimating part costs or labour times.
One hour delivery window with Interlink Express
Are you fed up of having to stay in all day, waiting for a delivery? Our couriers give you a one hour delivery window.
You will receive an e-mail and text message on the day your laptop is being delivered to you, stating the one hour delivery window your laptop will arrive in. If you aren't able to receive your parcel during that time, you can reply to the text or e-mail to change the date of the delivery to the next day, or the day after that.
Once you have received your one hour delivery window e-mail or text, you can plan your day more easily - no need to wait in all day for your laptop to be delivered!
